How to launch Telegram ads in bots

From top-up to first impressions takes about ten minutes. Below are the steps, tips for your post, and what affects how fast reach grows.

Launch in six steps

  1. Sign in and top up

Open the web dashboard (Telegram sign-in) and top up your ad balance — from $5. USDT (TRC20) is credited automatically with no fee.

  2. Create a campaign and post

In the dashboard click “New campaign” and build your post in the editor with a live preview. Already have a post? Just forward it to @HiViewsBot.

  3. Choose bot topics

Select bot topics — each one shows its share of the network’s reach.

  4. Set up targeting

User languages (RU, UA, BY, KZ, UZ match exactly; EN = all foreign languages (English, French, Spanish, etc.); “CIS” and “Foreigners” presets), matched against the viewer’s Telegram language; Premium users only; HiViews Verified — verified users only.

  5. Pick a placement

Welcome — right after /start ($6 per 1,000), or regular — inside the bot ($3 per 1,000). Either one can be paid per click instead: $0.05 per click, impressions free.

  6. Pass moderation

Usually a few minutes. Once approved, impressions start automatically and stats appear in the web dashboard.

How to prepare your post

  • Short and to the point: a catchy headline and a few lines of text — no more than 6 lines.
  • Emoji and emphasis guide the eye: bold for the key point, 1–3 relevant emoji.
  • Eye-catching media: a photo, video or GIF noticeably boosts attention.
  • Buttons are optional. A post can have no buttons at all; welcome posts can have at most 2 buttons, regular posts up to 6 rows × 3 buttons.
  • Address the viewer: $name becomes the viewer’s first name, $username their @username (or their name if they have none). Buttons in the editor insert both, and the preview shows a sample.
  • Several text variants: run 2–3 versions and keep the one that performs best.

Per impression or per click

By default you pay per 1,000 impressions. Both placements have a second option — pay per click: impressions are free and you’re charged $0.05 when someone taps a button or a link in the text.

  • Only the first click counts. Each impression is charged for its first click (a button or a link in the text); repeat taps by the same person are free.
  • Strong posts only. For pay-per-click, moderation approves posts people will really want to click: a catchy first line, a clear benefit, a visible button. Weak ads are not accepted in this format — they can run with pay-per-impression instead.
  • Every link goes through a button or a word. A pay-per-click post can’t contain bare addresses (site.com, t.me/…), @mentions or tg:// links — such a click can’t be counted. Put the address on a word (the Link button in the editor) or into a button and HiViews replaces it with a tracking link. Addresses in images or “find us in search” won’t pass moderation.
  • Bot clicks are free. No real person taps within half a second of delivery, so such clicks are not charged.
  • Same multipliers: Premium only — ×2, betting and gambling — ×2, boost — ×1.25–×2. For example, with Premium-only targeting a click costs $0.10.
  • A link button is required. The post needs at least one button with a link, and click tracking must be on.

Where to turn it on: campaign wizard → welcome or regular placement → per-click billing.

If you mainly want the post seen, pay per impression. If you need clicks, paying per click takes the risk off you: people who don’t tap cost nothing. Note that these ads go to bots whose users are quick to tap, so reach may build up more slowly.

Frequency, schedule and bots

These settings live in the Advanced step of the campaign wizard. You don’t have to touch them: by default a campaign runs across the whole network around the clock and reaches each person once.

  • Frequency per person. Unique (the default): each person sees the post once for the whole campaign. Once a week or once a day: the same people see it again, useful when the post is worth a reminder.
  • Schedule. Hours of the day in Moscow time, plus start and end dates.
  • Where to show. The whole network, only selected bots, or everywhere except selected bots. The list is searchable and shows each bot’s impressions over the last 30 days.

Clicks and CTR

Below the post buttons in the editor there’s a click-tracking (CTR) switch. It’s on by default: links go through an instant hiviews.net redirect, and your stats show clicks and CTR by day and by bot. That tells you which bots bring clicks and which ones to exclude.

You can switch it off — for example, for t.me links: with tracking on they open via the browser, without it they open straight in Telegram. Pay-per-click requires tracking.

Limits and reach speed

  • A user sees at most one ad per hour across the whole network and at most six a day, and a welcome impression in a given bot at most once a day.
  • That’s why reach builds up gradually; narrow targeting and HiViews Verified make it slower.
  • Boost increases how often your ad is shown — the price is multiplied by the factor.

Top-ups and stats

  • Minimum top-up is $5: bank card and USDT (TRC20) with no fee on our side, or CryptoBot (+3%). See the finance guide.
  • Impressions, clicks, CTR and spend for every campaign — by day and by bot, in the web dashboard. With pay-per-click, charges happen at the moment of the click.
  • What you can advertise — see the rules.
