How to pay for Telegram ads by card: roubles, dollars, from $5

You can pay for Telegram ads by card on HiViews directly: top up the balance with a bank card in roubles (a Russian bank card) or in dollars (an international card), from $5 and with no fee on our side. The money is credited automatically, usually within a minute. Crypto is optional — USDT TRC20 and CryptoBot are still there if you prefer them.

Why paying for Telegram advertising is often the hard part

Launching an ad on Telegram is not technically difficult. Paying for it can take longer than writing the post. The reasons tend to repeat.

  • Crypto only. Many ad tools around Telegram accept nothing but crypto. If you have no wallet and no wish to deal with exchanges and transfer networks, the launch waits.
  • A high minimum budget. Some platforms set an entry point meant for large advertisers: to test one idea you have to deposit a noticeable sum upfront.
  • Manual payment. In direct deals with channel admins and bot owners, money goes to a person’s card or wallet — with no independent statistics and no clear rules for when something goes wrong.

We are not comparing specific services here: terms differ and change, so check them on each platform’s own site. For an overview of the options, see Where to buy Telegram ads. Below is how payment works on HiViews, an ad network inside Telegram bots.

Top-up methods: card, USDT and CryptoBot

There are four ways to top up a HiViews balance. The minimum is the same for all of them: $5.

Card payments go through Tribute’s payment page: if it charges a service fee of its own, the fee is shown there before you pay. Everything on HiViews is billed in US dollars.

Telegram bot ads without crypto

Choose the bank card. A Russian bank card pays in roubles, an international card pays in dollars. No wallet, exchange or network transfer is involved: you enter your card details on a payment page, as with any online purchase.

If you would rather pay in crypto

USDT on the TRC20 network is credited with no fee on our side. CryptoBot adds a 3% fee, so include it when you plan the budget. Balances are explained in the finance guide.

How to pay for Telegram ads by card, step by step

In the web dashboard. Both currencies are available here — roubles and dollars.

  1. Open the wallet

Log in to the web dashboard with Telegram and go to the Wallet page.

  2. Enter the amount and choose “Bank card”

The amount is entered in dollars, from $5. That is what lands on your ad balance.

  3. Pick the payment currency

₽ for Russian bank cards, $ for international cards.

  4. Pay on Tribute’s page

Press “Pay by card” and the payment page opens. Check the amount and enter your card details.

  5. Wait for the balance to update

The top-up is credited automatically, usually within a minute. There is no need to send a receipt to support.

Paying in roubles in @HiViewsBot

In @HiViewsBot, card payment works the same way but in roubles only: open the Wallet section, choose the bank card top-up, enter the amount and pay on Tribute’s page. Paying in dollars with an international card is available in the web dashboard only.

Roubles or dollars, one balance. Your card is charged in the currency you picked, while the HiViews balance is kept in dollars. The exact charge is shown on the payment page before you pay.

What the money buys: formats and prices

The balance is spent on impressions or clicks in the network’s Telegram bots. There are two formats.

  • Welcome impression. The ad arrives right after /start, before the bot’s own greeting. More in Welcome ads in Telegram bots.
  • Regular impression. The bot requests the ad after it has delivered its result to the user, so the post stays the last message in the chat.
ItemPrice
Welcome impression$6 per 1,000 impressions
Regular impression$3 per 1,000 impressions
Pay per click (welcome or regular placement)$0.05 per click, impressions free
Boost (the campaign is picked more often)×1.25–×2
Telegram Premium audience only×2
Betting and gambling ads×2
HiViews Verified (only people with a real-looking profile)Free, delivery is slower

The price is the same for every bot topic. Each campaign is moderated, usually within a day. For the full breakdown of prices and multipliers, read How much do Telegram bot ads cost.

Buy Telegram ads with a bank card from $5: what a test budget gives

The minimum top-up is enough for a small but real campaign. Here is an example calculation at base prices, with no multipliers.

BudgetWelcome impressionsRegular impressionsClicks with pay-per-click
$5$5 ÷ $6 × 1,000 ≈ 833$5 ÷ $3 × 1,000 ≈ 1,666$5 ÷ $0.05 = 100
$20$20 ÷ $6 × 1,000 ≈ 3,333$20 ÷ $3 × 1,000 ≈ 6,666$20 ÷ $0.05 = 400

This is example arithmetic, not a forecast: how many people tap the post and what they do next depends on the offer and the copy.

With the default unique frequency every impression goes to a new person, so 833 impressions means 833 different people. For a first test that is enough to see whether the post gets tapped at all and to compare CTR across bots.

With pay-per-click you pay for clicks only: the first click of each impression is charged, a click within half a second of delivery is not, and one person brings at most one paid click per hour. These campaigns accept only strong posts — a catchy first line, a clear benefit and a visible button. A campaign that gets almost no clicks is stopped: you are told about it and can relaunch with a stronger post or switch to pay-per-impression. How to write such a post is covered in Pay-per-click ads in Telegram bots.

How spending is controlled

A top-up is not a purchase yet: the money sits on your balance and is charged only for impressions or clicks. How much to spend and how fast is your call.

  • Impression limit. Cap the campaign at a number of impressions and it will not go past it.
  • Frequency per person. Unique (once per person for the whole campaign, the default), once a week or once a day.
  • Schedule. Delivery by hours (Moscow time) and by dates.
  • Where to show. Bot topics, languages, the whole network, only chosen bots or all except chosen ones.
  • Click statistics. Click tracking shows CTR per bot, so weak placements can be excluded.
  • Edits on the fly. In a running campaign, topics, boost and the impression limit change in place with no new moderation. The post itself cannot be edited — duplicate the campaign for that.
  • Pause. A campaign can be paused and resumed later.
  • Refunds for fraud. Suspicious bots are frozen and their impressions reversed, with the money returned to your balance.

Every campaign setting is walked through in the guide for advertisers.
